More calories than you thought in alcohol.

Although people tend to not consider beverages food, pure alcohol contains about 7 calories per gram making it almost twice as fattening as carbohydrates or protein at 4 calories per gram and almost as high as fat at 9 calories per gram. The worst weight gain offender is potato chips.

 In a recent Harvard Medical School study the top worst food for weight gain was potato chips.
